Archbishop J. Peter Sartain decided that the Mass for Life will be held at St. Martin’s Pavilion on Tuesday, January 17. I will send out an announcement with more details by the end of next week.
Last month, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace released a document on the need for global financial reform. “To be faithful to their ethical and religious vocation, communities of believers should take the lead in asking whether the human family has adequate means at its disposal to achieve the global common good.” The full English text can be found on the website for Vatican Radio.
And remember to save the date for Catholic Advocacy Day 2012 in Olympia: Wednesday, February 15.
The special session of the State Legislature begins on Nov. 28th. In order to protect those who can least afford additional budget cuts, we urgently need more Catholics advocating for the poor and vulnerable. Please request that your parish use the attached announcement or flyer in next Sunday’s bulletin.
Also, if you are not yet a member of the Catholic Advocacy Network, please take this opportunity to sign up – www.thewscc.org.
