Subject: UPDATED - Archdiocesan Academic School Calendar for 2017-2018

It has been brought to our attention that a couple of dates on the previously posted calendar were incorrect, namely the number of schools days listed in the months of October and December. We have made the corrections to the calendar and have attached the updated one to this post.
Teacher Excellence Day is slated for October 6. We have listed it on October 6th so that the number of school days in October (at the top of the October calendar) is listed correctly. We will be using this day differently this next year, as we grow into the Christ in the Classroom Program - Level I Catechetical Certification Program for Catholic schools only. Please hold this day for a retreat day at the local school; more detailed information will become available in the spring. We also corrected the number of school days for the month of December. In addition, since these 2 days were missing from the final count of 180 days; we have also adjusted the last day of school to be on June 15th, instead of June 13th.
Attached please also find a copy of the memo from Dr Haggarty regarding the calendar requirements, along with a copy of the OCS recommended school calendar for 2017-2018.
