• Personnel Database (CSPD) Update

    December 5, 2011
    To all Principals:
Thank You! Progress is being made on the Catholic Schools Personnel Database (CSPD).

What is the minimum that needs to be done in Phase I?
This is a reminder that all data fields do not need to be filled in. We are hoping that you can meet the Dec 16 deadline to supply:
    • Name: First and Last (Employee)
    • Email: (Preferably school email)
    • Position (From the menu): An employee may have multiple positions, but FTE should add to less than or equal to 1.0. If a teacher, please designate Grade(s) and Subject(s).
    • Role (From the menu): An employee may have multiple roles, but the default for all is School Employee.

What is the difference between a Role and a Position?
A role is associated with a task, such as Safe Environment Coordinator. A position is the name of a job, such as Vice-Principal and comes with a FTE. An employee may be V-P for 0.4 and Teacher for 0.6 FTE.

    What is Phase II?
Once basic data is entered, we will announce to employees that they have an online file where they can supply us (and you) with current information such as address, phone, SETA number, etc. We will call this file their portfolio. The old Applitrack portfolio system will be abandoned. Anticipated timeline: August 2012.

Can I get a list of all my CSPD employees entered so far?
Yes! You can print the list, or better yet, you can export it to Excel or PDF. On the CSPD Home screen you can click on DOWNLOAD/EXPORT and customize your report.

What am I getting out of this?
Each school now has a standardized online employee database, accessible anytime, and anywhere there is web access. But better than that, look in the Principal Area and click on “All Contact Lists”. This provides you with lists of Archdiocesan-wide employee reports by Role and/or Position. (Employees with the role of CSPD Administrator will find All Contacts List in their Employee Area.) This is our initial step to build communio for our schools throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle.
