It is with pleasure that special recognition is awarded to Kate Orizotti, 4th grade Teacher at St. Cecilia Catholic School by the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators. Kate was selected for her record of high success in promoting student achievement and exemplary leadership in improving education as identified by parents, administrators and colleagues. One of the purposes of DKG is to promote excellence in education. That goal is accomplished through the provision of teacher training, such as the recent seminar on “ effective instruction for homeless and high poverty students.
Kate has been teaching for two years at St. Cecilia. The chapter was particularly impressed by her accomplishments. On Feb 13th 2012, Kate Orizotti was honored as one of our Outstanding Educators for 2012.
