In this week’s mailing are two attachments that I received at a state committee meeting this week.
The power point provides information about the new state assessment that will be given this spring. There is some information in the presentation about the length of the tests and the changes in the testing window (they will be later in the year). Unfortunately private schools do not have the option of piloting the online version.
The letter from the Higher Education Board is about the College Bound Scholarship program. This program can provide free college tuition for low income students who qualify. Students must sign up in 7th or 8th grade. Please share this information with eligible families and encourage their participation.
