Dear Marcher for Life,
It’s hard to believe that 2010 is almost upon us and that we will be gathering soon for the 32nd annual Washington State March for Life. We look forward to standing with you on the Capitol Steps in Olympia at Noon, Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Your presence and your passion mean more than words can say.
Last year’s gathering was a huge success with a massive turnout. It was an amazing day. Our gathering is a chance to share the Pro-Life message with our representatives in Olympia as well as everyone in our state. We welcome you to come back, and invite you to bring someone with you—or bring a busload of friends with you. Let’s tell Washington State that we are united for Life!
The March for Life is the largest annual gathering on the Capitol steps. Our work does not go unnoticed. We must increase our activity, our outreach, and the volume in this crucial civil rights conversation.
Not only do we invite you to join us on Tuesday, January 19, but we ask you to make that week in January a Week for Life. We still need you on the Capitol Steps, but we are asking a little more of you again this year. Celebrate hope with us in Olympia and proclaim that all life is sacred from conception to natural death. The rest of the week we invite you to dedicate yourself to prayer, outreach and conversation.
Tuesday, January 19– GATHER We gather to strengthen our resolve and galvanize ourselves to make a difference in our community, while educating lawmakers and reminding them why we come out every year. We will not be silenced.
Wednesday, January 20– DISCUSS With newfound strength, knowledge and faith, we will engage in conversation about these issues and our experiences with our neighbors. If you have a blog, talk about the week there. Have a forum where you invite people to talk about abortion. Don’t be afraid to talk to people and make your voice heard.
Thursday, January 21– PRAY You are encouraged to reflect and pray on the eve of the anniversary of Roe v Wade. We have to remember the millions of women, men and babies whose lives have been touched by the Culture of Death.
Friday, January 22 – PARTICIPATE Find ways to put our cause into action and ways to support organizations that educate and offer options to those most affected by abortion and end of life decisions. Many people will use the opportunity to take the voice of Washington State to the National March for Life in Washington, DC, on this day.
Please let us know what you have planned for the week, but don’t think for a moment that you are off the hook for January 19 in Olympia! We need to make our voices heard in our state and show that we will not stop coming until we have a culture that respects each and every life, born and unborn. To stay in touch visit our website at www.washingtonmarchforlife.org or call 253-564-1497
Thanks again for your prayers, support and participation. We look forward to seeing you on January 19!
For Life,
Noreen McEntee Hobson
