Dear High School Principals and Presidents:
Archbishop Sartain is looking forward to hosting a dinner for senior class officers and their school principals. The dinner will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Isaac Orr Conference Room in the 910 Marion building. Please inform your students that parking will be available in the P1 parking garage, however, we do encourage carpooling as there will be a limited number of spaces available.
Please register here. Deadline for registration is Monday, November 26, 2012. We are asking each school to bring no more than 5 or 6 students. If you are unable to attend, please send another school administrator in your place.
As a “thank you” to Archbishop Sartain, I ask that the student leaders of each school bring items of clothing or cans of food or other non-perishable food items, which will be donated in the Archbishop’s name to Francis House and the St. James Food Bank. This charitable action, in keeping with the season, will be a wonderful reminder of the commitment of our schools to the principles of Catholic social teaching. To make it easier to transport these gifts, please bring them in bags or boxes to the designated place in the Isaac Orr conference room.
This probably goes without saying, but please let your students know that this is a dress-up occasion. They will be representing their school to the Archbishop, so they will want to look and be their best. In addition, each school will be asked to have one or two students speak about how Catholic education is lived out at their school.
