WSCC Action Alert

Dear Life, Justice and Peace Contacts,

WSCC Action Alert – On Monday the Washington State Catholic Conference issued an action alert about HB 1044 which would mandate insurance coverage for abortion in any private health insurance plan which provides coverage of maternity care. There will be a hearing on the bill this Thursday, January 31^st at 8:00 a.m.in the House Health Care & Wellness Committee. All are encouraged to attend the hearing and to wear white ribbons. Justice for Immigrants: Please remember to send an electronic postcard to your U.S. senators and representative in support of comprehensive immigration reform. Also consider forming a parish delegation to meet locally with them during the Presidents’ Day recess, Feb. 16- 24.
