Title I/LAP Meeting with Seattle Public Schools

Dear Principals and Title Coordinators for the Catholic Schools within the Seattle Public Schools District Boundaries,

Please save the date and secure one representative from your school to attend this important 2013 - 2014 Title Meeting with Seattle Public Schools.

In preparation for the new school year, a meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 23^rd from 9 -10:30 a.m. in room 2776-2778 of the John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence (JSCEE), 2445 3^rd Ave S.. For those of you who have not visited the JSCEE, the building is located in the SODO area, a few blocks south of the stadiums.

Staff from ELL and International Programs (Title III & Migrant), Special Education (IDEA) and Grants (Title IA & Title IIA) will provide you with an overview of services available through federal programs in the 2013-14 school year. Information on Career & Technical Education (Carl Perkins) will also be available.

Additionally, you will receive a revised Federal Programs Manual for Private Schools for 2013-14. This binder will contain information on each program, along with forms to be used to request funding for professional development activities and services to students. Allocations for Title IIA services have now been calculated, so if you elected to participate in this program, and I haven’t yet contacted you with the figures, you will hear from me by the end of this week.

Lastly, parking lots located on the south and east sides of the building tend to fill up first, so the large lot on the north side of the building is often the best option. There is also limited on-street parking, but I recommend not parking in the Arby’s or McDonald’s lots, as your car could be towed. Please let me know if you will be able to attend.
