Title IIA Dollars at Work! Let's use them!

Dear School Leaders,

We are close to the end of the school year but lifelong learning continues!

While our schools reside in many public school districts throughout western Washington, now is the time that you should be receiving notification from your Title IIA Department to clarify if your school still has federal funding available for services to support summer professional development opportunities.

Most school districts honor the practice of utilizing carry forward funds first and then apply the current school year allotments. For example, any unspent 2013-14 Title IIA funds were carried forward for use in 2014-15, but any 2012-13 funds that carried forward into the 2013-14 school year can not be available for use after 8/31/14. Let's exhaust our federal dollar allotments to invest in our educators!
