Private School Proportionate Share 2014-2015 Allocation Mtg - Aug. 21

School Leaders and Title/Special Education Coordinators within Seattle Public Schools Boundaries - please calendar and note: The location of this meeting has changed.

Dear Private School Administrators,

You are cordially invited to attend the Private School Proportionate Share 2014–2015 Allocation Meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2014. The meeting will be held at Ballard High School, where the Principal has graciously reserved the BHS Library for our group. Ballard High School is located at 1418 NW 65 Street. Please plan to join us from 9:00-12:00 as we discuss how Proportionate Share Funds will be allocated during the 2014-2015 school year to support parentally-place students with Service Plans (students who are eligible for special education and are NOT enrolled in the District part-time or receiving services through an IEP).

In addition to Private School Administrators, the District is required to invite representatives of parents of parentally-placed private school students. For that reason, we have historically extended invitations to Vice Principals, Learning Specialists, Resource Teachers and others who may be able to represent parents during the discussion of service provision to this group of students. Please feel free to invite others who may represent the parents of your parentally-placed private school students. If you would like me to include these individuals on future emails regarding Proportionate Share, please send me their names and email information so they can be added to the Private School distribution list.

Your input is most important and we look forward to meeting with you to begin the 2014-2015 academic year with a solid plan in place. Thank you for your participation in advance and we here at SPS wish you a most pleasant summer break.
