    The Superintendent's High School Art Show is an annual event co-hosted by OSPI and the Washington Art Education Association (WAEA). High school students from all nine of the state's educational service districts (ESDs) participate in this artistic celebration each year.     Opportunities:
    Arts Infused Learning: Adams Elementary in Seattle is offering an opportunity for visitors, interested in learning about and seeing first hand arts infused lessons, to visit their school and participate in classroom observations, hands-on learning, a school tour, and planning opportunities.     Puget Sound Conductor’s Institute:

    The National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute (SMI)

    Every summer, approximately 60 students (ages 15-20) from all over the United States, as well as a number of other countries, meet in Washington, D.C. at the Kennedy Center to attend this institute.     Federal Junior Ducks Stamp Design Contest

    This art contest is open to All Washington State students grades K-12. There will be a total of 36 winners, between four age groupings, who received ribbons, prizes, recognition, and whose art will be on display for a full year at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia.     Thespian Democracy works 2015 Essay Competition

    Thespian Individual Events (IE) Festivals

    Inspirational Teacher Awards – Call for nominations
    Nominations are now being accepted for the Kennedy Center’s Stephen Sondheim Inspirational Teacher Awards – a series of annual $10,000 grants that recognize inspiring teachers across the United States who currently teach or have taught in a K-12 school, college, or university.
