STEM CAMP at Visitation Catholic STEM Academy

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Visitation will be hosting another summer camp in cooperation with the University of Notre Dame. Please get the word out about this opportunity as soon as possible. We had several students from Cabrini and St. Pat's last year attend our camp and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

STEM CAMP: JUNE 16-26:
Visitation Catholic STEM Academy and the University of Notre Dame’s Center for STEM Education are proud to sponsor the Computing and Robotics Experience June 16-26, 9 AM–Noon. For students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in Fall 2015 “Hands-on” and “Minds-on” Learning! ND CORE is aimed specifically at middle school students who want to work collaboratively, learn basic programming skills, and use the engineering design cycle to solve problems.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS: Engage in hands-on collaborative activities focused on the engineering design cycle; learn how to code in two different computer languages; work with the Finch Robot to navigate obstacles, sing songs, and play games; design and code your own robotic pet. COST: $125 per student. Location: Visitation Catholic STEM Academy STEM lab.

SPACE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 26 STUDENTS AND FILLS UP VERY QUICKLY! LAST YEAR WE TURNED STUDENTS AWAY!
