| Dear Catechetical Colleagues, |
| This next week, several Chancery offices are coordinating an exceptional opportunity to learn more about our funeral liturgies. For any of you wanting to learn more about funeral planning, which offers us a unique opportunity for evangelization and catechesis, I encourage you to register for Life Is Changed, Not Ended and to encourage others to do so. Please note that the Friday event is for clergy and Saturday is for lay people. The link to register can be found below in the Upcoming Catechetical Events section. Our "Essential Concept" this week is Celebration of the Seven Sacraments. As Catholics, we are incredibly blessed through the gifts of God's grace in our sacraments. As catechists, we are called to help one another celebrate our relationship with Christ through actively living and participating in the sacraments. Related print, digital and online materials for each "Essential Concept" can also be found on the Library Media website at www.seattlearchdiocese.org/Library/newsletters Below in the Featured Website section look for updated information from the World Meeting of Families. They have posted videos of some of the keynote speakers and a few workshops as well. They are adding more, so check back frequently. As the 2015 Synod on the Family continues, here is a quick video that explains the goals and mission of the current Synod as explained by Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz and Archbishop Jose H. Gomez.
