Teacher Excellence Day, October 7, 2016 – Prepare the Way!

Plans are underway for our TED, 2016 “Prepare the Way!” A day set aside for us to help discover connections between our Catholic faith, the mission of Catholic schools, and ethnic and cultural diversity. Our Strategic Plan, Goal 3, Action 3 guides us in this work, “Increasing Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion to Build Intercultural Communities.” All principals have received a survey with two important questions. Thank you to the 15 principals who have completed this survey. We hope that principals will take this opportunity to affirm the good work of your teachers through this nomination to help facilitate and/or present:

1. Name(s) of teachers who can carefully guide a teacher discussion related to cultural inclusion/competency. Teachers will be given training via webinar by our speakers prior to October 7.

2. Name(s) of teachers who could, if honored by your affirmation, present on a topic related to cultural diversity/inclusion. Consider multicultural lessons, unit plans, liturgies, celebrations, student projects.
