Dear Teachers,
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. The Church ushers us into the holiest week of the year, where we accompany Christ through his passion, death and resurrection.
We have plenty of great resources to enrichen the faith lives of your students during this important week.
· Stories of Hope in the Archdiocese of Seattle: As you know, 25% of all CRS Rice Bowl donations stay in this archdiocese and are disbursed as small grants to over 250 programs working to end food insecurity in western Washington. Does your parish or school receive a grant? Find out (and see how to apply) at www.seattlearchdiocese.org/ricebowl.
· Stations of the Cross: Pray with our Stations of the Cross Digital Retreats with your students using our Catholic social teaching-inspired version of this classic devotion.
· A Prayer Service to End Lent: Use this prayer service to conclude your class’s journey through these forty days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
Need more resources? Find everything you need at http://crsricebowl.org/schools.
In peace,
Kelly Hickman
CRS Rice Bowl Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Seattle
PS - As Lent draws to a close, don’t forget to remind students and their families to begin collecting their Lenten alms so that they can be put to good use as soon as possible. You might want to adapt and send this letter home to inform parents.
