Safe Environment Update - Fall 2011

Dear Principals –

Welcome back to the start of another wonderful year! Attached please find the “SEP Update for Fall 2011”, which highlights some important information about Safe Environment as we begin the school year.

By now, all Level I (Archdiocesan) Schools should have received their Fall Materials packet. The packets were sent to the principal at each school. If you have someone other than the principal who coordinates Safe Environment at your school, please pass this packet along to them.

· 2011-2012 Training Requirements
· SEP Checklist for Schools 2011-2012
· Called to Protect Train-the-Trainer information & application
· SEP Update for Fall 2011
· Replacement pages for your Safe Environment Program Coordinator’s Handbook.


All Level II (Independent) Schools should have received a 2011-2012 Welcome Letter that explains their safe environment requirements as outlined in the Charter for the Protection of Children & Young People and verification process.
