Catholic Schools Personnel Database

We are pleased to announce the official opening of the Catholic Schools Personnel Database (CSPD). The purpose of this online database is to allow school leadership to keep track of school employees and for CSD to be able to access employee information without having to send annoying emails. There were two main problems with the previous Portfolio system in AppliTrack, one was that it was infused with pre-employment application form wording, and secondly, the schools did not have local control to edit information. Our new system is for school employees only and gives you complete control over the employee information.
Phase One is to collect an accurate list of names, emails and positions of your staff. We already requested this list in August. Most schools sent in their list and if you sent in the list, the database has been pre-populated for you. If you did not send in this list, your current list contains just the principal. Adding and editing staff is easy. The CSPD is described in detail in the attached document (CSPD Tutorial for Principals). To meet the December deadline we suggest that you immediately delegate this task to one of your employees by assigning them the role of School Administrator of CSPD. This role, and the role of School Leader, has permission to edit the database.
The required information such as Name and Position is straightforward; however, there is an additional aspect that needs your attention, that is, Roles. Your position in the school is the Principal or President; however your role is School Leader. This role provides you permission to do everything within your school’s data. The default role for an employee is School Employee. Below is the current list of Roles; note that you can assign Fulcrum TAP coordinator and Fulcrum will be able to access a TAP coordinator list.

If there is a Phase One there must be a Phase Two. After you have created the individual employee accounts in Phase One, your employees will be able to logon at any time and edit their information such as address, school email and phone in Phase Two. Think of this account as replacing the old E-1 form. We look forward to your questions and suggestions. There will be additional training and documentation available in 2012.
