Guidance on Private School Participation in Federal Programs

The first step on the journey of access to ANY federal program support for our staff and students is the completion of the Intent to Participate form. This is a reminder that in order for your school to qualify to participate in federal programs in the 2012-2013 school year, you must indicate that intent in OSPI’s Education Data System (EDS) no later than March 2, 2012. If this is not submitted by the March 2nd deadline there is no recourse for receiving Title funding.

OSPI Bulletin No 087-11 and Attachment B describe the process, provide instructions for filling out the online form, and provide contact information for questions or concerns. OSPI sent these documents to all approved private schools in December, but they are also attached to this e-mail for your reference.
