Audience: Language teachers interested in early language learning and proficiency assessment
Goal of the Workshop: To become familiar with the ELLOPA and SOPA as alternative assessments for determining a student’s oral proficiency and listening comprehension skills in a second language
Objectives: Participants will:
- Become familiar with the ELLOPA and SOPA interviews
- Identify and practice effective interviewing techniques
- Explore levels and sublevels of the rating rubric
- Become familiar with and apply rating procedures
