Dear Principals,
Please find the draft document of the Social Media Principles, Policies & Guidelines for Parishes, Schools and Programs of the Archdiocese of Seattle discussed at the May Presbyteral Council meeting. Also attached is a response form that can be used to provide feedback to the document drafters and the draft Internet Social Media Policy Church Personnel Agreement Form for your consideration.
Please study and review these draft documents with your school leadership team. The Deans are forwarding a similar e-mail to all pastors, priest administrators, and pastoral coordinators, asking them to forward to parish staff as appropriate.
We are asking that all response forms be returned to Shawna McMahon, Safe Environment Coordinator, by August 15th in order for a second draft to be prepared for the fall Presbyteral Council review.
Please note: The Executive Principals Committee will be having their first meeting for the 2012-2013 school year on August 14th and the draft archdiocesan social media policies will be an agenda item seeking your collective input.
