Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County
Applying Science to Our Everyday Lives
FREE Workshops for 4-12 Grade Teachers
Brightwater Education Center
Seventh grade students inventoried hazardous products in their homes and using the scientific method compared products for efficiency and impact on the environment. Students presented their projects at the school science fair as well as at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair.
Students can learn to identify household hazardous products by reading labels, conduct a survey at home of common hazardous products, and explore complex scientific questions through Hazards on the Homefront lessons you use in your classroom.
Learn how easy it is to incorporate these lessons and activities into your classroom. Come to a free teacher workshop this summer.
