Included in this week’s mailing is the new accreditation protocol from WCEA. The protocol, Improving Student Learning, is for all elementary schools beginning with those that will be accredited in the 2010-11 school year. This is a comprehensive document that includes a template for data collection for years prior to accreditation. You will also find in the appendix the rubric for Catholic Identity and a 30-page section on the Best Practices for Teaching Religion. The ISL protocol is also available on the WCEA website at www.westwcea.org

There will be further discussion and training this spring for schools to be accredited in 2011-12; all Principals will receive an overview at the May Principals meeting.
