World AIDS Day is December 1.
A new 3-minute video and other resources and in-depth information from Catholic Relief Services can be found at http://worldaidsday.crs.org. Also, some of you might be in charge of, or could submit, bulletin announcements in December; a sample notice can be found at the bottom of this message.
World Day of Peace is January 1. For decades the popes have issued a special message for this day. Benedict XVI’s message for 2013 will be released sometime in December: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Meanwhile, a resource has been prepared by staff at the U.S. bishop’s conference: http://www.usccb.org/issues-and-acti...y-of-peace.cfm
