Happy New Year! As we return to our school and parish faith formation ministries and draw closer to the end of our Christmas Season, I hope you and your students are filled with peace and joy!
Also, I am excited to share with you some upcoming events for 2013. First of all, Fr. Robert Barron will be speaking at Holy Rosary Parish in Edmonds on Monday, January 28th from 7 – 9 p.m. You can find the flyer at http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/YOF/Events.aspx.
Secondly, please mark your calendars now for a very exciting presentation on Thursday, February 28th at the Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center at the Palisades with Fr. Bill Watson, S.J. from the Sacred Story Institute (www.sacredstory.net). The theme of his presentation is Evangelization: The Vocation of Living a Sacred Story. Archbishop Sartain will be opening the day with prayer and will joining us for Fr. Watson’s presentation.
Maryknoll is offering a Mission Education Training Program on February 1-3 in Seattle. This training will be an excellent opportunity for people seeking to deepen their understanding of mission and how to incorporate it into their current ministries. This week is National Migration Week with the theme of “We are Strangers No Longer: Our Journey of Hope Continues.” More information is provided in this newsletter.
