Dear Principals,
Five listening sessions for the strategic plan will be held throughout the Archdiocese from March 4-7 and on March 11. Important strategies for our schools will be discussed, some of them of longstanding concern, such as innovative programs, accessibility (financial, ethnic, and special needs), alternative governance models, and means of ensuring Catholic identity. With two new lead consultants from ACE to assist us, Steve Perla and Sr. Kathleen Carr, we seek to learn the responses and ideas of a wide section of people. The responses will be collated, forwarded to the steering committee, and evaluated for inclusion into the plan.
We would like to see 200 people at each session, representatives from each school and parish, who are committed to setting the direction for Catholic schools in this archdiocese. Your leadership is requested and required to ensure that we hear from all stakeholders whose contribution will strengthen the mission of Catholic schools.
Thank you for your participation in the planning process.
Sincerely,
Fr. Stephen C. Rowan, Ph.D.
Superintendent for Catholic Schools
