Exciting Opportunity for AP Biology Teachers

Dear Advocate for AP® education,

I promised I would let you know about funding for AP® Summer Institute training for your AP® biology teachers. The College Board is conducting research into professional development, and we will sponsor the registration fees to cover the cost of your AP® biology teachers attending the Inland Northwest AP® Summer Institute held July 29 to Aug 1, 2013 in Spokane, WA. NO travel expenses can be covered, but this would be a chance for your AP* biology teachers to receive training as well as participate in a two year research design which would connect them with new online professional development. I can send you more information about the study, if you would like, but it’s an exciting opportunity for those teachers to share resources as well as receive enhanced data tied to the PSAT/NMSQT®. The attached application form is due May 10.

I am sorry that I still do not have information about the College Board funding for summer institute training for AP® Spanish Language and AP® Chemistry teachers. My understanding is that information was sent directly to the teachers through the audit portal. APRedesignPD@collegeboard.org might have more information.
