Overview of Program Goals:

The program will begin in the fall. Each participant will be invited to make the whole 40 week prayer journey as detailed in the book Forty Weeks. The program is free but you will need the Forty Weeks book. You can purchase the paperback or you have the option to view the materials at no cost in the Members section of sacredstory.net.

The program begins with a short survey to gather basic information. After the initial survey, you will receive additional surveys on a weekly basis for you to give feedback on how the materials might be translatable into classroom experiences for the grade level you teach.

At the end of the 40 week journey, the comments will be compiled and used as a critical resource for catechetical specialists to design a supplemental program for regular K-8 religious instruction. This supplemental program will initially be tested in the Archdiocese of Seattle and ultimately made available for use by Catholic schools across the country. Our goal is to develop educational modules that communicate the genius of St. Ignatius’ powerful discernment principles for our youngest Catholics.
