• Mathematics and ELA Teacher Leaders Project - OSPI

Opportunity for Non-Public School Teachers Participation - Please consider:

OSPI and the nine regional Educational Service Districts (ESDs) are excited to announce an opportunity for mathematics and English language arts teacher-leaders for the 2013-14 school year! We are currently accepting applications for Mathematics and ELA fellows within each ESD region. Since Spring 2013, OSPI and the nine ESDs have partnered on the Washington State Mathematics/English Language Arts Fellows Project as one way to build a statewide cadre of teacher leaders that will support implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) participating in shared statewide and regional learning opportunities and will provide leadership and support within individual school districts and schools. The aim of the Fellows is to build teacher leader capacity to support teachers and to support delivery of instruction that is aligned with the CCSS to ultimately increase student achievement in Mathematics and ELA/Literacy.

The application and more information about the statewide Fellows program can be found at http://www.k12.wa.us/CoreStandards/Fellows.aspx. Applications are due October 1, 2013.

Please feel free to share this information on to interested ELA or Math teachers or coaches.
