The Role of Advisory Groups in Effective Catechetical Planning

Presented by Lori Dahlhoff, EdD and Regina Haney, EdD of NCEA's Religious Education and Boards and Councils Departments, this webinar will focus on understanding the role of advisory groups in effective catechetical planning. Steps for launching, revising, or celebrating the planning process will be outlined, including examples from parish, school, and diocesan settings across the country. This is the first webinar in a series of three focused on catechetical planning for clergy, catechetical leaders, and advisory groups responsible for religious education and faith formation.
Webinar participants will be able to:
• Describe the importance and benefits of catechetical planning in Catholic parish, school, and diocesan settings.
• Define the role of advisory groups in effective catechetical planning.
• Outline steps in effective catechetical planning, including developing a “rolling plan.”
