The Technology Learning and Leadership program (yes, newly named!) at Puget Sound ESD partners with numerous technology product and service providers in an effort to leverage discounts for districts and give educators an opportunity to see first-hand a wide variety of products that can fulfill their educational needs. To this end, we sponsor solutions showcases.
What is a “Showcase”?
We host “showcases” to provide educators an opportunity to see a variety of educational technology products and service providers in a single event. Presentations may be made by representatives of the companies that participate, or they may arrange for an educator who is a customer to share their experiences with their product or service.
How do we select the providers?
Many of the providers are partners in the Washington Learning Source or the Digital Edge. When we identify a topic, we open up participation to a range of providers, and the final schedule is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The presence (or lack of presence) of any particular provider is not an indication of the ESD’s endorsement.
Why do we charge a fee to attend?
Our events are offered on a self-funding basis. The providers pay a fee to participate, and their support covers the majority of the cost of hosting the event. However, we do need to charge a minimal amount to cover the costs of food and staff time.
Our next Showcase is…

Technology isn’t the only thing that is continually changing – the very nature of how we learn is changing as well. Examining new technologies for education also requires examining the world our students live in and how they need to learn to be ready for their future. This product showcase will give you an opportunity to explore a smorgasbord of digital learning tools (including instructional software, online apps, management tools, and more) from a variety of providers, and will include presentations and exhibit area. Check the event WEBPAGE to see who and what will be represented!
Course fee is $25, which includes lunch. There will be 3.5 clock hours for $10 available.
Audience: Teachers, principals and district-level administrators, including directors of curriculum, technology, special education and CTE
