TOP TEN REASONS TO COMPLETE APPLITRACK- THE ePORTFOLIO STEP: Prior to securing AppliTrack, the CSD had no way to adequately track personnel. In this new system which allows us to build a central and integrated web-based professional portfolio mechanism, we can:
    1. Sends information directly to a group. For example, sending an email to all high school math teachers to alert them about a new summer program.
    2. 2. Provides the principal and CSD with information on employee compliance for Safe Environment and the CICS background check.
    3. Gives schools and CSD access to current address, phone, etc. Personal information changes are made by the employee- immediate and timely.
    4. Tracks years of service for the annual awards process. In the past, this has been difficult and sometimes a contentious task. Now it is self reporting, and it is the employee’s responsibility to inform us of their years of service.
    5. Finds experienced employees for certification committees.
    6. Provides an opportunity to store transcripts and certification documents online.
    7. Gives the Office of Catholic Faith Foundation (OCFF) information to track certified Catechists.
    8. Searches for employees with special world language skills.
    9. Tracks ethnic data.
    10. Allows the schools of the Archdiocese of Seattle to start moving towards a paper free environment and GO GREEN! J
Note: Please be sure that you use the latest versions of the documentation since we have recently updated the screens. All tutorials and PDF directions are located at:

    Tick, tick, tick……
MARCH 1st CSD GOAL: To have ALL SCHOOL CERTIFIED EMPLOYEES fully enrolled in the ePortfolio portion of AppliTrack by March 1st, 2010. As of today: 786 principals and teachers are fully enrolled in AppliTrack/ePortfolio (called Internal applications) which is 40% of our employee population. Keep going! Thank you!

    Respectfully submitted,
    Sandra Barton Smith
