We have fully enclosed cabins with heat and electricity. A centrally located shower house has six private stalls and on-demand heated water, guaranteeing you’ll always have a hot shower. Discovery Lodge, finished in 2007, provides a spacious hall for meals, indoor programs, and relaxing around the fireplace. St. Therese chapel is our dedicated space for worship; tucked away in the trees, it is a beautiful and peaceful retreat. Last year saw the addition of a brand new high-ropes element and a multi-faceted high-ropes challenge course that will encourage students to surpass personal goals and work as a team. Finally, thanks to a generous grant, we also have new lab supplies and field equipment for students to carry out their environmental studies.
While we have made a lot of changes and additions, some things have stayed the same:
- Our enthusiastic staff, dedicated to being role models of faith and passionate about being good stewards of creation.
- Our commitment to developing a faith community that translates to students’ school and home lives.
- Our focus on fostering leadership in the students and encouraging them to challenge their own boundaries.
We are dedicated to serving the Catholic schools of western Washington and Oregon, and we are the only program in the Northwest that sets Environmental Education in a Catholic context. If you would like to learn more about our program, or if you would like a tour of Camp Hamilton, please contact Sarah Humlie, at sarah.humlie@seattlearch.org. Registration for spring and fall programs begins in March.
