Teachers in the Archdiocese of Seattle are invited to apply for the Maryknoll Immersion Program. Thousands of Bolivians from rural communities have migrated to the impoverished sprawl area of southern Cochabamba. Participants will travel with Maryknoll to visit these communities and the Catholic missioners who partner with them. Our immersion will focus heavily on experiencing daily life and encounter with the missionary Church.
- Discover Mission by engaging with the ministries of Maryknoll priests, brothers, sisters, and lay missioners
- Build Relationships within communities of people living on the margins
- Grow in Faith through on-site prayer, reflection, and celebration of the Eucharist
- Share the Gift of mission with your students through exposure to youth life and education, as well as through professional development from Maryknoll's mission education team
Scholarships to participate available for teachers willing and committed to bringing mission back into the classroom through this experience, generously provided by the Missions Office of the Archdiocese of Seattle.
