Adobe Premiere Pro ACA Exam Prep

July 14-18, 2014; 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

This workshop is a must for anyone that teaches or uses Adobe Premiere Pro. You will learn how to maximize your efficiency with the application and take your video editing skills and techniques to the next level. You will be presented with a series of lessons complete with video tutorials, project files, and examples. These lessons are specifically designed to help prepare you and your students for the Adobe Certified Associate Exam (ACA). You will be expected to shoot some video after class at least two evenings, and you will take the Adobe Certified Associates Exam on the last day of class. NOTE: An additional fee will be collected at class for the ACA exam.

iPad Media Production Boot Camp

August 11-15, 2014; 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

Mobile computing is a key 21st century skill that our students and teachers will need to develop a proficiency in if they want to compete in tomorrow’s workforce. Apple’s iPad is at the forefront of the tablet technology and a powerful media production tool. This workshop will focus on how to create and publish a wide variety of media using your iPad and some of the latest accessories. You are encouraged to bring your own iPad, but one will be provided if you do not have one.

101 Google Tricks: From Search to Docs

Learn 101 tricks (at least!) in order to best use all the tools that Google has to offer. Aimed for both the beginner and experienced Google user, everyone will come away from this workshop with easy-to-use tips and tricks to better utilize Search, Calendar, Documents, Forms, and Earth in their classroom and professional lives. Location: Annie Wright School in Tacoma

Technology in Language Learning & Teaching (a repeat offering)
