Time to Create Unit Plans with Clock Hours
One consistent theme runs throughout the meetings I have hosted at the Archdiocese. Teachers have made the request, “If we just had designated time with some kind of bonus to create the unit plans…if only.” So, I put on my thinking cap, and I want to offer five possible days this summer to gather and create. You can choose one, two or three days. You will receive 6 clock hours per day.

Who: Anyone who wants to! Anyone who has been asked to! Novices! Experts! Anyone who wants clock hours for their efforts!
What: In-service Days – with some guidance, lots of resources and other teachers who are engaged in this endeavor!
When: Wednesday, June 25
Friday, June 27
Thursday, August 7
Friday, August 8
Friday, August 15
Time: 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Bring your own lunch. I will provide good snacks!
Cost: No financial cost! However, I am asking for two things.
• First that you turn in your completed unit plan at the end of your final day to receive your clock hours
• Second, that you are willing to provide teachers across the Archdiocese access the plan in an on-line format.
Bring: Lap-top and your school texts. You may use the Library at the Chancery for additional Religion resources!
Let your teachers know about this opportunity to join with colleagues to create unit plans, and receive clock hours. In addition to this article, I will send an email out to all your teachers about this opportunity.
