These free teacher training opportunities are offered this August by the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County. These workshops provide teachers with training and resources to integrate lessons about household hazardous products into their curricula. Teachers that attend may purchase clock hours through PSESD and can earn a $50 stipend for incorporating concepts from the training in their classroom. Please see attachment.

Workshop dates are:
*August 12, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for grades 4-6 teachers
*August 13, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for grades 6-12 teachers
*August 15, 9:00 a.m. – noon: Optional follow-up tour of the South Seattle hazardous and solid waste collection facilities
