Religion Standards Roll-Out In-Service Opportunities

Dear Principals,

The Pre-K- 8 Religion Standards for the Archdiocese of Seattle have been approved. If you want your teachers to begin the school year with the Religion Standards, dates and regional locations are listed below. The in-service will be a 1.5 hour commitment for each grade level band. A hard copy of the Pre-K-8 Religion Standards will be given to each school as well as the link to the electronic curriculum binder.

Who should attend? This decision is made at the school level. A school can choose to send all teachers of religion, one from each grade level band, or one from each school with the goal of bringing the information back to your level or building. Principals are invited to attend.

Schedule for each of the in-service days:
8:30 – 10:00 p.m. – Pre-K, K, 1
11:00 – 12:30 p.m.– 2, 3, 4
1:30 – 3:00 p.m.– 5, 6, 7, 8

Elementary School Principals have received an email to select a location that works for each school and principals are asked to indicate the number of teachers attending each session.
Choices are:
August 25 – St. Charles – Pierce Region
August 26 – St. Cecilia – Olympic Peninsula Region
August 27 – Archbishop Murphy – Northern Snohomish Region
August 28 – St. Madeline Sophie – Eastside Region
August 29 – St. George – South Seattle Region
September 18 - Our Lady of Lourdes – Southern Region

St. John Option – North Seattle area
Sept. 8, 2:30 – 4:00 P.M. - PK, K, 1
Sept. 15, 2:30 – 4:00 P.M. – 2, 3, 4
Sept. 22, 2:30 – 4:00 P.M. – 5,6,7,8
