“How do you see Christ in your Catholic school?”
NORTHWEST CATHOLIC is sponsoring its second annual student essay contest. Winning essays will be chosen from three categories: grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12.
The three first-place essays, with photos of the authors, will be published in the January/February 2015 issue of NORTHWEST CATHOLIC.
The contest is open to students enrolled in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle. Essays should answer the following question: “How do you see Christ in your Catholic school?” Word limits for the essays are as follows: grades K–5: 250 words; grades 6–8: 350 words; grades 9–12: 500 words. Winners will be notified by Nov. 5. Entries should include the student’s name, address, email address, contact phone number, school name (and city), and grade level.
Note: If the contest is used as an all-class or all-school assignment, teachers should choose up to three essays from each class to enter. Individual entries are welcome.
