We hope you had a very relaxing and enjoyable summer! To help you determine students’ immunization compliance and gear up for reporting their immunization status, we encourage you to join Department of Health staff for a webinar on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 1-2 PM. This webinar is targeted toward any school staff involved in working on student immunization compliance or reporting, and could be especially helpful to new staff. For more information on the webinar, please go here: www.doh.wa.gov/Portals/1/Documents/Pubs/OICP-Sept2014WebinarAnnouncement.pdf Please REGISTER here!

    Here are the webinar objectives:
    1. Describe vaccines required for school entry and list 3 common exceptions to the immunization requirements.
    2. Determine the changes to the immunization requirements for 2014-2015.
    3. Discuss how to accurately fill out the required immunization status reporting form.
    4. Learn how to report your school immunization data using two preferred methods.

Here are important immunization resources to save as you start the new school year.

    Immunization Status Reporting

    • All public and private schools, and licensed preschools must report the immunization status of students by Nov. 1 each year per state law (WAC 246-105-060)
    • Schools can find reporting information on our school reporting web page. If you work in a preschool, preschool reporting information is also available online
    • Review step-by-step instructions to complete the immunization report
    • Report students’ immunization data in the WA State Immunization Information System (IIS)
    • If you are new and will use the IIS to report, please REGISTER to use the system. Please remember: if you already have access to the IIS to look up students’ immunizations, you will need another username to report in the IIS
    • If you reported in the IIS last year and will use the IIS to report this year, you will get an email with your username and password. If you don’t see this email in the next few weeks, please let us know by sending an email to oicpschools@doh.wa.gov
    • Do NOT use the IIS to report preschool data. Please report preschool data online
    • Send all questions related to reporting to: oicpschools@doh.wa.gov
