Cornerstone Talks Available: The audio portion of some of the presentations to October's Cornerstone Catholic Conference are now available on the Cornerstone Catholic Conference website . The talks of both Archbishop J. Peter Sartain and Bishop Joseph Tyson can be accessed. There are plans to also offer the audio files of the workshop presentations - I will let you know when those are available.
Mass for Life: On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, Catholics from around the Archdiocese will gather to celebrate the annual Mass for Life and honor the sacredness of all human life, especially in its most vulnerable forms. We have prepared a new flyer for you to use in promoting the Mass for Life and encouraging others to participate. You will also find an updated set of driving/parking directions for the Mass for Life, and from there to the March for Life, and finally to the Knights of Columbus lunch following the March.
Torture: Last week, Bishop Oscar Cantú, chairman of the USCCB Committee on International Justice and Peace, marked the release of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee's executive summary of its report on CIA interrogation methods with these words:
"The Catholic Church firmly believes that torture is an 'intrinsic evil' that cannot be justified under any circumstance. The acts of torture described in the Senate Intelligence Committee's report violated the God-given human dignity inherent in all people and were unequivocally wrong. Congress and the President should act to strengthen the legal prohibitions against torture and to ensure that this never happens again."

Wishing you a prayerful Advent,
Jim
