Proportionate Share Consultation Mtg - SPS - March 18, 2015

Dear Catholic School Principals and Title Program Coordinators within the Seattle Public School Boundaries,

As you know, the District has changed the process for determining the services available through Proportionate Share. Rather than meeting in the fall, as we used to do, we will now hold our first consultation meeting in March to discuss the following school year’s services. This year’s first consultation meeting to discuss services to be provided during the 2015-16 school year is scheduled at the following time:

Wednesday, March 18, 2014
John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence, Room 2700 8:30am - 12:30pm

As we have discussed, since we won’t have any carry-over funds, next year’s services will be significantly reduced. We have been operating with a carry-over totaling almost as much as the allocation itself. Without that carry-over, we will be working with a budget half the size we’ve had the past two years and will be facing a significant reduction in services. Your voice is important! Please plan to attend this meeting and join the discussion regarding service options for private school students during school year 2015-16.

If you are unable to attend, you will be offered an opportunity to provide input throughout the month of April, prior to the District’s final determination on April 30th.

The District will be hosting a meeting in early May to announce the final service determination for 2015-16.
