Household Hazardous Products and Safer Choices

Saturday, March 28 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Teachers that attend can earn clock hours as well as a $50 stipend for incorporating two concepts from the training in their classroom.

Using hands-on activities, your students will understand how to identify household hazardous products by reading labels, learn proper disposal methods, examine safer choices, and explore complex scientific questions through Hazards on the Homefront lessons you use in your classroom.
· Teach real-life issues that engage students in science and sustainability.
· Apply STEM strategies with ready-to-use lessons.
· Fulfill science, and health and fitness standards.
· Earn clock hours (with a fee).
· Sign up for free follow-up classroom workshops.
· Earn a $50 stipend for meeting post-workshop objectives.
· Receive eligibility for a mini-grant for conducting projects.
