• Teacher Excellence Day, October 2, 2115

Recalling the theme of our Teacher Excellence Day, “Feed One Another”, I pray that each of us who work for Catholic schools will reflect on the gifts we have been given and have developed. How can you be enriched in sharing your ideas? We are off to a good start in creating a great day for our in-service on Friday, October 2. Thank you in advance for your willingness to share and to “Feed One Another!”

Over 50 teachers have been nominated to present at our Teacher Excellence Day. So far,

    • 37 teachers have submitted a partial registration
    • 13 have fully completed the presenter registration.

A New Highlight this Year! Perhaps you don’t want to present, but you would really like the opportunity to discuss an idea or program with your colleagues. Consider leading one sharing session during TED 2015. As the facilitator, you get the conversation started, offer key questions to consider, perhaps provide examples…but no Power Point! Just some of the ideas…
    • Scheduling – share creative ways to build a schedule.
    • Assemblies – share what works, how many, what audience, what purpose
    • School Faith Families – share how to structure, and how to use School Faith Families throughout the year
    • Curriculum – share curriculum ideas working with the new Religion Standards
    • Extracurricular Activities – what works, how to identify needs and wants, how to structure
    • Summer School – share how to get one started, who to hire, how to structure

Yes, indeed, we all can learn from one another!
