Dear School Leaders,
April Collier has worked in Catholic schools and is now at KCTS. April has reached out to us to find “Golden Apple” moments, which KCTS would profile on their web and TV outlets.
Ideally, what they want are stories about teachers that have created an innovative program at their school which has led to better student outcomes. If the program has been around a few years and been replicated in other classrooms and/or schools… even better.
Profile of nominee:
What kind of program has the teacher created that is unique to the school and has measurable impact?
How long has the program been in place? How many students have benefited?
Is the program replicable to other schools?
Does the program reach a targeted or underserved population?
Has the teacher received or been nominated for other recognition awards?
Profile of School:
What is unique about the school that sets them apart from others schools? Is the impact measurable?
Is a specific demographic/population being served?
Can other schools replicate this model?
What is the long term goal?
Has the school received or been nominated for other recognition awards?
Principals, do you have any stories that you would like us to highlight? Please send your story to Tim Hunt at tim.hunt@seattlearch.org by April 27. Thank you!
