Sammamish, WA, March 26, 2015 – Eastside Catholic is pleased to announce the hiring of John Kennedy as the next President of Eastside Catholic School effective July 1, 2015.
Kennedy will be joining Eastside Catholic from Wakefield School, The Plains,Virginia in which capacity he currently serves as Assistant Headmaster for Finance and Operations, having previously served as Assistant Head for Institutional Advancement for Middleburg Academy (formerly Notre Dame Academy).
“With over 25 years of school administrative experience and a deep Catholic faith, we believe Mr. Kennedy is the right person to guide and strengthen the Mission and Touchstones of Eastside Catholic School,” said Board of Trustee Co-Chairs Kurt Reasoner and Jim Alling.
This week, Kennedy traveled to Washington State to spend a few days on the Eastside Catholic campus to meet with school administrators, parent groups, faculty and staff and spend time with the students in and out of the classrooms.

Kennedy graduated from Duquesne University with a Master’s in Education. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Niagara University, New York. Kennedy and his wife will be relocating to Sammamish from Haymarket, Virginia.
