Request for Survey and/or Task Force Participation

In 2014, we began our work on the newly developed Strategic Plan, “From Strength to Strength.” Our plan called for a “…common test for assessing student achievement of common curriculum learning expectations…” Dr. Haggarty has tasked a sub-committee of the Executive Principals to develop criteria and review assessment options. The sub-committee will meet to review the criteria and then on July 6th and 7th, listen to presentations by the various assessment publishers. The committee will offer the results of their findings to the Superintendent and the Executive Principals for a final decision in the winter of 2016. Schools are encouraged to move to the agreed upon assessment within 3 years of the approval.

Currently, the criteria that we have developed follows:



A survey regarding assessment needs will accompany the spring data collection. Please complete the survey to give us a better understanding of your assessment needs and concerns.

Representatives will give a 45-60 minute presentation and who have responded thus far: IOWA/Continuum, Renaissance STAR, ACTAspire, NWEA Map. Confirmation calls to be scheduled with Smarter Balanced and CTBS Terra Nova.
