Assessment Survey for Principals: In 2014, we began our work on the newly developed Strategic Plan, “From Strength to Strength.” Our plan called for a “…common test for assessing student achievement of common curriculum learning expectations…” Dr. Haggarty has tasked a sub-committee of the Executive Principals to develop criteria and review assessment options. The sub-committee will meet to review the criteria and then on July 6th and 7th, listen to presentations by the various assessment publishers. The committee will offer the results of their findings to the Superintendent and the Executive Principals for a final decision in the winter of 2016. Schools are encouraged to move to the agreed upon assessment within 3 years of the approval.

Attached is the current information we have in the area of MATH instructional materials being used in our schools. Kristin Dixon asks that each school leader take a moment to update their Instructional materials and assessment so she has your most current information about your current assessments and instructional materials especially in the area of MATH which will be our Curriculum In-Depth area of focus next year.
