About The Program
The Fulcrum Foundation's Star Grant program promotes excellence in Catholic school education by supporting a teacher's or staff person's creative project or initiative for the classroom. Grants through this program are intended for projects or initiatives that benefit multiple grade levels, have a long-term impact and foster spiritual growth.
Who Can Apply?
All teachers and staff who serve within the Catholic school system of the Archdiocese of Seattle and who have not received a Fulcrum Star Grant in the past three school years are eligible to apply.
What Can Teachers And Staff Apply For?
The maximum amount that a school may be awarded is $1,500. Grants typically fund materials and other supplies to support innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
How Are Awards Determined?
Factors considered in determining grant awards and amounts include:
· Potential to improve the curriculum or pedagogy in a classroom and for the school
· Long-term benefits and intended impact to the school
· Cross-curricular breadth and impact
· A clear connection to ta plan: a strategic plan, curricular plan or accreditation goals
