• PowerSchool Gradebook Training for Teachers and Principals - Aug. 24

PowerSchool Gradebook Training for Teachers and Principals - Aug. 24 9-4 p.m.

A daylong gradebook training session will be offered on Monday, August 24, 2015, 9-4 p.m. in the Isaac Orr Conference Room at the Chancery for PowerSchool Consortium member schools.

    This training is for:
    · Administrators who need to have a better understanding of the gradebook and how it works
    · New teachers to learn basic gradebook usage
    · Teacher leaders who have the responsibility of mentoring their staff on gradebook use
    · Teachers or admins who have been tasked with updating standards and report cards

In this day-long hands-on session, you will use a gradebook while learning how to apply nationally-recognized grading expert Ken O'Connor's 15 fixes in PowerTeacher Gradebook to support standard-based grading and student learning. Find out how both extra credit and penalties for late work can be detrimental, and how you can help teachers at your school use more effective grading practices.

There is no charge for Consortium members for this training.

NOTE: Each attendee would need to bring their own laptop (note, not iPads or Chromebooks, they can't run the full gradebook, which is needed for this class).

This session has a maximum of 35 attendees. If there is more demand, we will schedule additional sessions later in the school year. If a region would like to host another session on a different date, please let me know.

Please RSVP to me with who will be attending from your school, necessary training materials can be prepared for each attendee.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
